Frock Me

T4 have commissioned their first very own fashion magazine show, Frock Me, which will be airing on Sunday (5th Oct) at 11.40am. Hosted by Alexa Chung and Henry Holland (a super collab much?) There will be street style, bands, celebrity guests and at the end of the show two teams of wannabe stylists will compete in a Frock Off in which they create an outfit to match the theme of the show (themes include denim, club chic, sportswear etc).

I believe the lovely Maria from Tissue Clouds will be competing in the first ever episode's Frock Off, cannot wait to see it!

Here's the BIG NEWS, yours truly will be writing the blog on the Channel 4 website each week, the first one will be up on Sunday, do read it and let me know what you think!

I'll have a DD please

I've just got home from the launch of Agent Provocatur's DD - their signature scent with added Diamond Dust - according to the press release real diamond dust has been infused into their original fragrance so when you apply the perfume not only do you smell amazing but you sparkle too!. Pretty good pre-Chrimbo season

The celebs were out in force at London's Dolce Club where Daisy Lowe took to the catwalk with lots of other gorgeous models as well as Jodie Harsh. I saw Kate Moss in the flesh for the first time ever as she sat with Kelly Osbourne to watch the show, Faris Rotter, Bobby GIllespie, Meg Matthews, Pearl Lowe, Sadie Frost, Scottee, Princess Julia, Kabir, Will Cameron and Remi Nicole also attended the bash.

Daisy Lowe opened the show in pair of cream knickers with strings of pearls detail before the other models took to the stage in nipple tassles, very revealing knickers, string body suits and silver chain mail style capes.

Make up was bold and catlike with a hint of Cleopatra topped off with some HUGE Shu Uemera lashes. Shoes were provided by Gina and Terry de Haviland, jewellery came from Erikson Beamon and Angie Gooderham while big big hair was styled by James Brown. I reckon those nipple tassels may well have been adorned with Swarovski crystals too.

Snow Leopard Vodka was brought out in Heston Blumenthal style dry ice, while Moet was served in huge wine glasses, the set was designed by the uber trendy My Beautiful City.

The goody bag contained a 50ml bottle of limited edition DD in a silver box, one of AP's Strip candles, some James Brown Dry Shampoo (trust me, this stuff gets me through bad fringe days) and a James Brown Shine and Fragrance Mist.

All in all this show has made me want to go to AP and buy all of their underwear whilst smothered in the new perfume, really exciting!

Stella, I want to give you the world if you just stay with me tonight

Ever since Stella McCartney got her friend Ms Moss to model her university collection at St Martins College she has been continually breaking new ground, her collection for Adidas proved no exception to this. You may recognise the face above as UK Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle but don't expect to recoginse the clothes unless you work for Miss McCartney yourself as Tweddle is modeling an outfit from the Spring Stella McCartney for Adidas range.

London Victoria's Linley Hall was transformed into 'Stella's gym' especially for this runway show, which also saw the likes of Allyson Felix and Victoria Pendleton taking time out of their schedules to model for the brand.

Stella was consulted by her own (and Madonna's) personal trainer Tracy Anderson for the Spring range, I wonder if this will make me better at spinning? Not likely, but I reckon its the only range to be seen in at your local sweat centre next season.

Totally Eley K

By now I am sure everyone is aware of my Eley Kishimoto addiction, I'm so addicted that I have chosen to write about this in my very short lunchbreak. The 'Little Devils' collection, their trademark smocks and shapes were seen in the collection in a number of bright colours.

I'm not sure if I totally agree with all of Tim Blank from Style.com's review of the show:

"The Eley Kishimoto DNA was clearest in things like the floral sundress with matching stockings, or a navy shirtdress with a pintucked waist, pieces that suggested innocence. But there was trouble once the middle part of the show—a group of oddly proportioned outfits in glazed raffia, or a sequined aboriginal lizard print—crossed over into attempts at worldliness. The designers pulled it back together at the end with swingy Art Deco chiffons in red, white, and blue—and the finale boasted a crash helmet in EK's signature zigzag that was a salutary reminder of their graphic genius"

Their use of bold colours is enviable and the hosiery in this season's show is a great example of how EK use prints so well.. but I do see Tim's point in regards to the raffia.

My friends all know this because I bang on about it constantly but when I was little I was totally obsessed with the lizard brooches you could then buy in Elizabeth Duke, my favourite was gold with green eyes. I've never seen one with that colour way since but my friend Fran did buy me a gorgeous Marc Jacobs lizard brooch when she last went to LA, which I love a lot. Now put this obsession together with my total love for Eley Kishimoto and you could probably see why the next three pictures made me squeak a bit...

THe Eley Kishimoto flash print has been seen on many a garment including Converse shoes of which i have a pair and a teddy bear but I must say this helmet is making me want to get a motorbike (or maybe wear it on a pushbike)

This next hat though, not so sure!

The following tuxedo jacket is one of my favourite things in the collection and a true investment piece

I will say the same for this brilliant tricolore skirt

This look has got me really excited too, there is a print of the lizard on the tights

I think I might buy this...

Again those bright acid colours are taking to the catwalk

These socks are a total must have for me, I cannot wait to get my feet in them!

So there we have it, what do you think? Personally I love Eley Kishimoto and can always see clothes on the runway which I would like to pop into my wardrobe, surely that is what this is all about?

Who's next - PPQ that's who

Cheer up Daisy, we love you!

Like Luella, PPQ have gone for candy colours for their S/S 09 show with few prints in use. As always the clothes are fun, effortlessly cool and must have.

I couldn't be more in love with the below look, its completely perfect like a Tim Walker photo

I like this a lot, not sure I could pull off the bloomers.

Can't help but mention this hat

Not sure where this came from though...

Lovely Luella

I had to turn down a ticket for the Luella show because of work (boo hiss)

At Luella there was a lot of all of the below:

Boxy jackets

tiered frilly skirts

big hair bows

net veils

tulle gloves

pearl chain handbags

What Luella said:

"I wanted it to be a proper, ladylike character—but a bit psychedelic," Bartley said. "And I wanted color, but in a sort of sick way. When I saw it all lined up, I thought, Ew! Can we do this?"

Well lets have a look shall we....

Totally asymmetric and slightly bonkers skirt and those shoes!! Its like a gran on acid, in a good way

That's more like it, i love these gloves and dress is one that Primark will already be working on copying

See, that trouser suit again...

Oops the gran has dropped a tab again - that detail on the skirt is divine

Imagine going to a wedding in this number, the detail, the fascinator

Mary Poppins where did you get your outfit from? Luella? You're totally on trend

Riding hats with veils, wowser

I do like this dressed down look

...and of course, there is a to die for coat in there

I do love Luella, i'm not totally convinced by this as yet although it is quite a logical move from the goth A/W collection with the veils bringing it through to S/S

If you were born in the 80's

I'm totally strung out, worked a 15 hour day today, on top of that I've totally pulled a muscle in my neck from worrying about work in my sleep, whatever, bore off, lets see some of LFW so far....yesssss

Topshop Unique went totally 80's a go go, watched by Peaches and Alexa amongst others

So what can we learn from Topshop Unique?

Everyone needs dd day (double denim)

Cyndi Lauper bows in your hair is the new D&G Queenie headscarf look

The playsuit remains omnipresent

This trench is your new favourite

The bodysuit is not going anywhere - big from now until 09

The trouser suit is back in a big way

There is going to be a heartsrevolution

Shoulders will be on show

Mix print and boxy shapes

I dont really like this but it will be in every magazine forever

Very Pam Hogg, this really is a bodysuit

this collection is exciting but not their most colourful or indeed wearable...I'll give it a go

Topshop Unique is perfectly tending to its market with this collection, long may they rein!
