Andrex have come up with a genius way of marketing their brand new shea butter toilet tissue...by teaming up with luxury lingerie designer Ayten Gasson, who has created a pair of limited edition silk shea butter knickers. The knickers are brown and cream silk - the cream panel in the knickers is enriched with Shea Butter to make them extra silky.
Choosing Liz McClarnon to front the campaign may have been a bit of an oversight (she's just not my kind of celeb but hey, whatevs) it's good that Andrex have got a charity involved too and the fact that it is a really worthwhile cause makes it all the better. The knickers are available for sale from andrexsheabutter.com for £10 per pair, £5 from every sale goes to Look Good...Feel Better, which is a charity for women undergoing cancer therapy. By providing make up and skincare workshops to help women cope with the outward signs of cancer and its side effects the charity hopes to boost ladies' confidence and wellbeing. If you want to find more about the charity you can check it out at www.lgfb.co.uk
Oh ps any East London lingerie lovers can buy a pair of these knickers from Bordello on Great Eastern Street.
In the meantime, this is a fashion blog so lets check out Ayten Gasson's other designs....
Ayten designs vintage inspired silk lingerie, all of her designs are handmade using silk and Nottingham lace, she is stocked in shops across London, Glasgow, Belfast, Brighton, Germany and America. You can find her designs in the flagship Topshop store on London's Oxford Circus.
Currently on her website are five ranges - Elizabeth, Grace, Annabel, Penelope and Emily. The picture above is from the Elizabeth range, below is from the Grace range, I really like her designs...vintage inspired underwear is totally on trend at the moment too.
