So I started my romp around London Fashion Week on Friday night when the boy and I went to The Hospital Club in Covent Garden to check out Nova Dando's 'Happy Fashion Week' party. Saam, him what makes amazing music videos and probably adverts now too, was doing some live VJing when we arrived which was pretty ace. This was followed by dance troupe House of Dangerkat performing in Nova's Rainbow collection...
The room was crammed with a fun London crowd including the likes of Grimshaw, Susie Bubble, Patrick Wolf and Ty from New Young Pony Club who was so lovely that we ended up going for some dinner with her afterwards. La Roux was billed on the invite but I wasn't sure what form her involvement would take. For those who don't know, Nova and Elly from La Roux work closely together when it comes to the styling for the band, I was pretty impressed then when La Roux played a 30 minute set with her full band. As you would imagine they were great and looked fab as usual as they modeled the Rainbow Collection. Its almost impossible to see La Roux in such a small venue these days so we all had a little dance and sang along to bulletproof in shreiky voices....strong look.

The piece de resistance was a screening of a film showcasing Nova's Rainbow Collection made by Saam Farahmand, I have grabbed some stills from the film below, think vivid colours and long fringing, Nova describes her designs as 'clothes for performance' and the performances were as exciting as the collection.
Nova is one of The Hospital Club's Creatives in Residence...such a good idea for a member's club with a wealth of members from creative industries to create philanthropic programmes for talented people.
