Peter Jensen & Tim Walker do Dover Street Market

The clue is in the title, Peter Jensen and Tim Walker (my favourite, favourite) have collaborated for an installation at Dover Street Market. Reminiscing on Peter Jensen's inspirational trip to Greenland whilst researching his Autumn Winter collection.

According to the blurb:
Based on Jensen’s AW09 Greenland themed collection, the range will include beaded knitwear and panelled wool dresses plus unique pieces created especially for the store, such as faux-fur leggings. The collection will also feature a Greenland inspired print designed in collaboration with Tim Walker, a long standing Peter Jensen friend and collaborator, recently crowned Fashion Creator of the year at the British Fashion Awards 2008.

The range will include both women’s and men’s pieces from the collection, featuring knit wear and accessories, prints and checks and stunning beaded knit dresses and cardigans. Furthermore two bespoke prints have been created solely for this special installation, the first being a lady bird print by Peter himself; the second, a print by Tim Walker, a charmingly naive collage of aforementioned lady birds, moons, a child’s handwritten musings, and a detail of the collections signature village print.

Peter Jensen says of the project, “Working with my friends at Dover Street Market, and with Tim has been a fantastic opportunity to bring creativity and commerce together in an interesting and unique way. The first capsule range I made for the store sold really well and we’ve been able to add to that, and offer loyal customers something they just can’t buy anywhere else.’
